Britt is an accredited primary teacher with a Master of Teaching (Primary) and a Bachelor of Science, and more than ten years’ experience working with children. After teaching in primary schools, she quickly realised the need for supporting kids outside the classroom. Britt has also worked in delivering early intervention therapy for young children with autism using the Early Start Denver Model. As a NDIS support worker, she worked alongside occupational therapists, speech pathologists and physiotherapists to deliver intensive programs for children with additional needs. Most recently, Britt spent two years in London as a home educator for a twice-exceptional student with ADHD, autism and dysgraphia, building an interest-led program that steadily grew their confidence and engagement in learning. She has also coordinated OOSH services on the Northern Beaches. Britt is passionate about helping neurodivergent children feel understood, capable and confident being themselves, and engaging children in learning outside of the traditional classroom.
