Our story
Pete first met Evie Moon in 2019 while managing an Outside School Hours Care (OOSH) service on Sydney's Northern Beaches. At the time, Evie's family had approached 12 other services in search of a place that was willing and able to support her individual needs. At Pete's service, Evie found more than just a place to play. She found an environment where she felt safe, included and connected. Through play-based experiences, she began to build her confidence, discover her capabilities and develop a stronger sense of belonging.

As their connection grew, Pete began working alongside Evie and her family as a support worker, going on adventures and playdates together that encouraged Evie’s social connection, independence and participation in the wider community.
Over time, Evie's confidence blossomed. The once-hesitant social participant became a true social butterfly, someone who loves meeting new people, sharing a story and having a good chat or gossip.
Meeting Evie sparked Pete's passion for inclusive programming and opened his eyes to the transformative power of safe, supportive environments where every child feels valued and has the opportunity to thrive.
Along the way, Evie taught Pete some of life's most important lessons: the value of finding your tribe, the confidence to face challenges, the joy of achieving goals both big and small, and the fundamental importance of feeling safe and understood.
Britt was running her own OOSH service while completing her teaching studies when Pete convinced her to join him in supporting Evie and her family. Together, they began connecting with other families looking for the same kind of support. Britt went on to teach in the classroom alongside providing early childhood interventions, and trained further in play-based therapies. Yet it was outside the classroom that she feels is her true passion: helping children who need extra support to thrive in their world and discover a love of learning in their own way. Across the many children she has worked with, Britt has learned to hold high expectations and never underestimate what a child can do. Her goal is to unlock each child’s potential and give them every opportunity to access and show their abilities.
Evie Moons Club was born from everything Evie taught us, and from our belief that every child deserves the opportunity to belong, build confidence and thrive in their own way. Together, we bring inclusive, play-based programming alongside specialised teaching and early intervention experience. Our vision is to create engaging programs where children can explore their interests, build meaningful friendships and feel the confidence that comes from being accepted for who they are.
