Skill- building social clubs

Our Skill- Building Social Club is a small, friendly group where children build friendships, confidence and social skills through play, projects and shared adventures. It is both structured and unstructured, looks and feels like a fun club but underneath, every week is carefully planned to help children practise the skills they need for everyday life. Over the course of the program, children will successfully reach their individual goals and outcomes, supported by our intentional framework —> reach out to learn more!

Why it matters
Friendships matter, but the social world at school runs on unspoken rules and fast-changing conversations that many children find tiring and confusing. Over time, this can affect their confidence and willingness to try new things.

Our small, inclusive clubs help children connect through shared interests, practise social skills in real situations with trusted adults close by, and build confidence in being themselves.

This social skills club is a facilitated small group for children aged 8–11 to build confidence and thrive socially in a low-demand, play-based environment. The club is designed to help children develop and practise their social skills, emotional regulation and self-confidence. We want children to understand themselves, communicate in ways that work for them, and find their people.

Is it right for my child?
This club suits children aged 8–11 who would benefit from support to feel confident in social settings. Children with or without a diagnosis are welcome.

It isn’t suited to children who require 1:1 support to be safe in a group.

Please get in touch and we can talk about what would best suit your child.

Small group with two educators,

so every child gets the attention and support they need.

A predictable routine,

so children know what to expect and feel settled

Big feelings and busy senses aren’t misbehaviour.

They’re signals. We help children notice what their body needs and learn ways to feel calm and ready.

Low-pressure participation.

Joining in is always encouraged but never forced. Watching, joining partway or playing alongside others all count.

Celebrating success,

big and small, so children leave feeling proud.

Learning in the moment.

We coach children through real social situations as they happen: joining a game, sharing ideas, solving disagreements and coping when things don’t go to plan.
